Ingredient Spotlight: Floradapt proBio-65® Lactobacillus sakei

Lactobacillus sakei is a lactic acid bacteria strain isolated from traditional Korean fermented vegetables, kimchi. 

A range of bacteria are involved in the kimchi fermentation process, with Lactobacillus being one of the major species. Of the various strains of this bacterium, Lactobacillus sakei proBio-65®, exhibited the most potent inhibitory activity against Staphylococcus aureus growth in preliminary experiments. It also induced immunological and clinical improvements in both human and animal studies.

Results from a double-blind, randomized clinical trial suggest that L. sakei proBio-65®-containing emollients provide improvements in skin barrier function as well as positive immunological effects against atopic dermatitis.

Our PawBiome® Balm is manufactured in the USA with domestic and imported ingredients in an FDA-registered GMP facility.

We wanted to avoid using plastic in the packaging of this product, so we opted out of a screw applicator. To administer product, simply push up on the bottom of tube to expose balm. After application, gently tap the bottom of the tube on a counter or table for balm to retract and replace lid.

    PawBiome Pet Balm – A Must for Active Paws!

    I've been using the PawBiome Pet Balm from Fera Pets for my dog's paws, and it’s been a game-changer! My dog Huxley loves his outdoor adventures, but his paws is get rough and dry from all the walking and Ontario weather.

    This balm is smooth, easy to apply, and it absorbs quickly. But it does leave a greasy feel to your hands and paws. I especially love that it’s made with natural, paw-safe ingredients, so I feel confident using it regularly.

    After a few weeks of use, Huxley’s paws are noticeably softer and healthier, even after long hikes and city walks.

    Highly recommend for any pup parent looking to keep those paws in top shape or those that need to get them back into shape!

    No more dry paws!!

    I’ve been using this paw balm on my 3 year old golden for the past few weeks and it has made a world of a difference. Especially with the winter coming, I’m super excited to have found a product that works so well. Highly recommend!

    Love this!!

    Im so happy I found this product! It’s so good for the cold Chicago weather. It keeps their paws moisturized I absolutely recommend it!

    Happy Paws!

    We received our PawBiome Per Balm just in time for our summer walks! With all the freshly cut grasses and pollen in full force, our pug Lexi began to have allergies on her paws and began licking her paws non stop. Once we began using PawBiome Pet Balm, she stopped the licking at her paws and the inflammation went away. Happy paws= happy pug!
