“As a veterinarian and acupuncturist, I searched high and low for effective supplements for my patients but was shocked when I couldn’t find all of the qualities that I demanded. When I realized big corporations were producing less than mediocre formulas, I knew I had to make a change in this industry.

In our own health, and in the health of our pets, we’re sometimes forced to choose between Western and Eastern philosophies as a path toward greater wellbeing. The truth is, combining both sciences to work in harmony with each other is a powerfully effective strategy for greater wellbeing for our pets as much as it is for ourselves.

Dr. Michelle and Emily have been connected since the first moment they met early on in life. They’ve grown together as friends, confidants, mothers, collaborators, and now partners in developing a new dimension to pet health. As mothers, they shared a passion for finding the best products to nurture their children, but when it came to the four-legged members of the family, they found more disappointment than success. Together, they committed to creating the solution they couldn’t find otherwise.

Gunther
Gunther, ½ german wirehaired pointer ½ komondor, was a highly anxious/scared dog when Fera's COO, Emily, first rescued him from a shelter in Los Angeles. After realizing he was in a loving home with not a worry in the world, Gunther now proudly holds the title of Chief Tasting Officer and enjoys his countless head massages.

Winston
Winston is a black and tan French bulldog who enjoys snacks and naps over anything else. He does enjoy the occasional short walk, but will spend most of it sniffing every blade of grass for the perfect spot to pee. Winston can be a little socially awkward around other dogs, but loves attention, pets and scratches from all the humans.

Pasadena Humane
A community-supported animal resource center providing compassion and care for all animals. Since 1903, Pasadena Humane has offered lifesaving programs and services for animals and the people who love them in the Greater Los Angeles Area. In addition to pet adoptions and foster, we focus on programs and services aimed at helping people care for and keep their pets, such as free and low-cost spay/neuter and vaccines, a pet food pantry, and an animal support call center.
