Our veterinarian-formulated Calming Support features effective ingredients to promote relaxation for nervous, hyperactive or stressed pets. This custom combination of herbs, amino acids, neurotransmitters and probiotics, were chosen for their synergy and effectiveness for calmness.

Within the gut, stress hormones such as cortisol can affect intestinal barrier integrity and immune signaling, and stress itself has been associated with changes in the composition of the gut microbiota.

Featuring a clinically studied strain, L. Paracasei LPC-37®, that promotes relaxation by way of the Gut-Brain Axis, our calming support is specifically designed to link the intestinal tract and brain to reduce stress.

Dr. Michelle Dulake chose each ingredient in our calming support with intention. In particular, ingredients that work synergistically with each other.

One mighty pair is GABA and L-Theanine. When combined, the calming neurotransmitter is elevated which helps promote an improved mood and overall relaxation - a great combination to support dog calming and cat anxiety relief.

Another star ingredient in our calming support is Lactobacillus paracasei Lpc-37®. These probiotics for dogs work on the gut-brain axis and promote a balanced mood and overall mental well being.

Lastly, you might be wondering why Dr. Dulake didn't add any hemp. Many pet supplement companies use hemp in their calm products due to its association with the calming effects of THC or CBD. The truth is, hemp, on its own, is a food ingredient with protein and essential fatty acids, and doesn’t have any significant calming effects. We’re all about effectiveness, which is why we don’t use hemp in our formula!

<p>It's important to note that supplements containing GABA, L-Theanine, and Passionflower may not have immediate effects on your pet's behavior. In order to see positive results, it's important to give the supplement to your pet on a long-term basis.</p>

<p>These supplements work by supporting a healthy stress response in the body and promoting relaxation. However, it can take some time for the active ingredients to build up in your pet's system and for your pet's body to respond to the supplement.</p>

<p>While it may be tempting to stop giving the supplement if you don't see immediate results, we would encourage you to continue using it as directed. Over time, your pet's body may respond positively to the supplement and you may notice a decrease in their stress levels and an improvement in their behavior.</p>

Many pet supplement companies use hemp powder in their calm products, a marketing ploy that associates the ingredient with the calming effects of THC or CBD. The truth is, hemp, on its own, is a food ingredient with just protein and essential fatty acids, and doesn’t have any significant calming effects. We’re all about effectiveness, which is why we don’t use hemp in our formula.

We recommend giving our Calming supplement for at least 3 days prior to stressful events but recommend giving it for 3-4 weeks to see full calming effects, relaxation, and overall balanced mood. This is not meant to sedate your pet (such as vet prescription drugs Gabapentin, Trazadone, or Acepromazine) but to induce calmness and reduce stress and anxiety over time.

For pets less than 25 lbs, our calming support will last 90 days.
For pets between 26-75 lbs, it'll last 30 days and for pets over 75 lbs, it will last 20 days. Please also refer to our feeding directions chart.

The scoop in our calming support is ½ teaspoon.

This product can be used long term, and is recommended to be given for at least 3-4 weeks to see full calming effects, relaxation, and overall balanced mood. After discontinuing product administration, you can expect calming effects to diminish.

    Happy Cat

    Lily became very anxious with our other cat after getting along for 3 years. She began chewing her hair and hissing. The vet suggested she may be stressed.

    Amazing!

    My dog Sammy has epilepsy and would get seizures multiple times a month. Years ago, I found a 'natural' supplement on amazon that seemed to help a bit, but after really reading the ingredients - it wasn't so natural. It had fillers, natural flavors, etc. that I wasn't happy with, and noticed she was getting seizures more often. I was SO happy to find Fera, and their clean ingredient lists! This product is incredible for Sammy, and she rarely has seizures (maybe 1 a month, if at all) and they seem to be much less severe when they do happen. I give her 2 scoops a day, 1 in the morning and 1 at night. It is technically double the recommended serving size for her weight (12 lbs), but I haven't noticed any negatives to doubling up - only benefits as she has really improved with her seizures. I will forever be a customer and hope this formula never changes! Thank you for this incredible product and clean ingredient lists! I truly appreciate no seed oils, fillers, flavorings or colors added.

    Whole New Dog!

    Our 9 year old chocolate lab is very anxious. She was rehomed with us when she was 5 and never quite felt settled. We really had to talk her into meals, she'd get worked up very easily, no independence, really out of sorts when people would come over. We started giving her this calming supplement 7 months ago and I swear she is a different dog! She finally feels settled, she's in your face as soon as it's meal time demanding her food, she roams around the backyard on her own (always needed one of us with her to leave the back porch). She's so happy and we love Fera Pets!
