Everything You Need for the Ultimate Dog-Friendly Picnic

Discover the ultimate outdoor bonding experience with your furry friend - a dog-friendly picnic complete with scrumptious sandwiches and nourishing supplements! Enjoy a sunny day outdoors while keeping your pet's health in check. Don't miss out on this paw-sitively perfect afternoon adventure!

If you’ve been looking for ways to spend more time outdoors, planning an afternoon of games and a dog friendly picnic is just the thing for you!

Warning that making bone broth does smell and will make your house smell for hours. Once you have your bone broth boiling you can start on your sandwiches.  We chose a multigrain bread with few additives.

Our first sandwich includes peanut butter and our Cardiac Support. This will be every dog’s new favorite way to eat peanut butter! The second sandwich was a single ingredient soft-boiled egg sandwich. And last but not least, the third sandwich was a double stacked canned salmon sandwich with our Mushroom Blend. We finished our bone broth with loads of supplement goodness!

All that was left was to pick a picnic blanket, some cute serving trays, and we’re ready for set up! It looked GREAT! We chose a shaded area under some trees and were ready to set out for an afternoon of fun and snacks!

It was a beautiful sunny day, and we enjoyed some time playing fetch and then sat down to eat our delicious dog friendly picnic. Our golden retrievers absolutely loved everything and there wasn’t a crumb left in sight.

Homemade Bone Broth Elixir

*Disclaimer all supplement doses pictured are for a dog 60lbs, please adjust your dosage based on your dog’s weight.

1. Start by taking your marrow bone and placing it into a large stock pot. The larger the pot the easier it is to submerge your bone in water.

2. Add water to cover your bone. We did not measure our water but ensured that our bone was submerged.

3. Bring the water to a boil and simmer on low for 3-5 hours. During this time, you may have to add more water. We added water to this batch twice.

4. Allow the freshly made bone broth to cool on the stove.

5. Strain out any chunks but you can add them to your dogs next meal!

6. Fill your pitcher with your strained bone broth. This one bone made a large amount of broth, more than this recipe calls for. I put the left-over bone broth in jars into the fridge for future use.

7. In your pitcher add the four Fera Pet Organics supplements and mix thoroughly. Ensure you are adding the proper dosage for the supplements based on your dog’s weight.

8. We used a bowl rather than cups to serve the elixir to make it easier for our dogs to enjoy!
